Effect of CAP on mutations in V79 fibroblasts. V79 fibroblasts in Matriderm® were exposed to CAP for 1–4 min or EMS (positive control) and the number of mutated V79 fibroblasts was determined using a HPRT assay. As negative control the samples were washed using sterile saline. Results are expressed as the number of mutated colonies/105 cells. Data represent the means of five independent experiments performed in duplicate.
