  1. The solvent DMSO is used as a negative control. Mammalian cells were treated with drugs at concentrations shown. The drugs were serially-diluted, and the MCC is defined as the first concentration of the drug, which is able to lower cell viability below 100 %. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay (Methods) and is shown as the percentage of survivors relative to cells treated with media alone
